The middle years are a critical period of transition in any child’s development because a plethora of physical, emotional, and social changes occur.  Therefore, it is essential that middle years education continues to emphasis the development of the whole child rather than just the child’s intellectual abilities. For these reasons. In Grades 6 -8 we create a nurturing setting that best accommodates the specific developmental needs of adolescent girls. English, math, social studies, and science form the core subject areas.  The core subject teachers meet each week to monitor students’ academic progress and development. This team of teachers works together to plan interdisciplinary units as well as team building activities.  Our girls are also afforded the opportunity to study Arabic, French, Spanish, information and communication technology (ICT), art, music, physical education, and Islamic studies.
