As you will have read in the media, the Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) have made changes to how school buses are to be used by schools.  This initiative from the RTA is to make bus transportation for students safe, secure and affordable.  However, the RTA’s new rulings have had a significant impact on us as a group and we have had to make considerable changes to how we run buses at Taaleem schools.

From September 2009 we will no longer be able to use our existing school buses.  In these circumstances we are therefore leasing buses through an RTA approved company.  All the buses used will be to the strictest RTA safety standards and the bus drivers will be authorised and trained by the RTA.  We have no choice but to go with this arrangement or cease to offer transport to school completely.

Having reviewed several different companies we have selected the Arab Falcon Bus Rental LLC (company) as our authorized transport providers.Attached is the updated bus transportation schedule of fees for our school.  There is an increase in the bus fee which is directly influenced by the higher costs of adhering to the new rules set down by the RTA. This increase is unfortunately unavoidable.

On signing the contract for next year, you will deal directly with the bus company.  This will ensure that all issues are dealt with immediately with the transport manager.  We are assured that the service will be to a high standard and that each bus will have a supervisor and be fully compliant with the new regulations.
